Denman/IC/Kauto all too high. I'd have Long Run about 175 after all 2 races ago he was beaten easily by Little Josh. None of the rest should be above 170+Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8547830833655385781.post-83290357718856332712011-03-21T12:52:29.866+00:002011-03-21T12:52:29.866+00:00Tom: Whichever way you look at the Gold Cup result...Tom: Whichever way you look at the Gold Cup result, Long Run did not beat What A Friend by anywhere near as much as he should have done on Official Ratings, he only beat him by 11-lengths. That (to me) suggests that his OR179 rating prior to the Gold Cup was inflated. He couldn't win the Paddy Power off OR158, so I doubt he'll ever win a Hennessey (or 2) like Denman.
He was the best horse on the day, but one of the top-5 chasers of all time? Methinks not.Wayward Ladhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09940069760757554537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8547830833655385781.post-17441568546428509862011-03-21T11:32:39.287+00:002011-03-21T11:32:39.287+00:00Hi Wayward

He is only 6 years old and connections were saying he'd win the Gold Cup when he was only 4. His main target was the King George and i think that track suited him better but he was so goood he won the Gold Cup anyway.

I'd expect him to take a lot of beating in coming years with Diamond Harry and Time For Rupert 2 horses i'm looking forward to seeing take him on.Tomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03352605699754769401noreply@blogger.com
